Medal Play Championships
TO BE READ IN CONJUNCTION WITH LOCAL RULES AND THE RULES OF GOLF
Eligibility:
- Event is open to members in the following Membership Categories:
- Full Playing Member (male)
- Six Day Member (male)
- Under 30 Member (male)
- Under 23 member (male)
- Under 18 Member (male)
- Participants must be a current financial member as at the commencement of the Round 1.
- Participants are to be “Amateur Golfers” only as defined in the Rules of Golf.
Championship Rules:
- The Championship will be played over 72 holes on dates nominated by the Match Committee. Grades for each Championship will be as for normal Club competitions:
- Division 1 (A Grade) : +plus – 7 handicap as at the date of Round 1 commencement
- Division 2 (A Reserve Grade) : 8 – 12 handicap as at the date of Round 1 commencement
- Division 3 (B Grade): 13 -18 handicap as at the date of Round 1 commencement
- Division 4 (C Grade): 19 – 32 handicap as at the date of Round 1 commencement
Note – Handicaps will be as at the commencement of the 1st Round. Handicap restrictions for the various Divisions are determined by the players club handicap (Golf Australia handicap adjusted for the Duntryleague slope factor as of the first Round).
- The winner of each Grade will be the lowest gross score returned after the 72-hole duration
In the event whereby tied scores are returned after 72 holes in any Grade, to determine a winner a 3-hole playoff is to be conducted on holes 10,11 and 12 immediately after the result is known for that Grade. The winner will be the player returning the lowest gross scores for these 3 holes. In the event scores are still tied after the 3 holes play will continue from hole 13 and consecutively thereafter until a winner is determined. - If a winner cannot be determined from the playoff and play is abandoned due to poor visibility or abnormal weather conditions the Playoff will be reconvened to commence from 8:00am on the next day from the next consecutive hole when play was abandoned.
- In the event where a player may have left the golf course after the 72 holes and is to be part of the Playoff, that player is to be contacted by the Match Chairperson and be allocated a reasonable time to return to the course and prepare for the Playoff. This timeframe however is not to exceed 30 minutes after being notified.
Senior Championship:
- Players who have obtained the age of 55 years as at the date of play in Round 1 and meet the membership eligibility Rules are eligible to compete for the Senior Champion held in conjunction with the Medal Play Championships.
- The winner will be the lowest gross score from returned scores in the 72-hole Championship rounds.
- In the event whereby tied scores are returned after 72 holes a playoff as for the Championship Conditions will apply.
Junior Championship:
- Players who are under the age of 18 years as at the date of play in Round 1 and meet the membership eligibility Rules are eligible to compete for the Junior Champion held in conjunction with the Medal Play Championships
- The winner will be the lowest gross score from returned scores in the 72-hole Championship rounds.
- In the event whereby tied scores are returned after 72 holes a playoff as for the Championship Rules will apply.
Abandoned play:
- If any Championship Round is abandoned due to poor weather conditions, bad light and /or the course becomes unplayable without adequate time for play to be reconvened for all players affected to complete their rounds, play for that round will be abandoned and played on the next available Saturday competition date. All scores returned for the abandoned round will be annulled from the Championship event.
- If no suitable date(s) within a reasonable timeframe are available for the full 72 holes to be completed the Match Committee reserves the right to reduce the Championship to a 54-hole event.
Championship Trophy Allocations:
- Participants are eligible to win no more than one (1) 72-hole event in either gross or nett handicap events in any Grade.
- In the event a player is eligible for the Senior or Junior events being held in conjunction as separate events to the Championship Grade categories an additional trophy (1) will be awarded in either the gross or nett events to the winners of each Section.
- Daily trophies in any Round will be awarded to the lowest returned gross and nett score recipients as per normal Club competition events.
Tee times allocated for Championship:
- Tee times booked by players will be final as at commencement of play on the date of each Round to be played. The booked tee times will be determined as the allocated starting time by the Match Committee.
- In the event a player is unable to meet with the booked tee time on any Championship day the starter at the Club’s pro-shop is to be advised and a new tee time allocated as and when available.
- In the event the player has been allocated a new time by the starter and is not ready to play within 5 minutes after the allocated time that player will incur a penalty of 2 strokes on the first hole of competition play.
- It is the players responsibility to check their tee times either on the Club website or at the pro-shop prior to the commencement of each daily event.
Motorised carts:
- Motorised carts can be used by any player in any or all Rounds of the Club Medal Play Championships in any Grade or Section including any playoff holes.
MENS CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS (MATCHPLAY)
TO BE READ IN CONJUNCTION WITH LOCAL RULES AND THE RULES OF GOLF
Championship Matchplay Format
The Championship Matchplay format will consist of the following:
Qualifying Rounds – 4 rounds of 18 hole stroke to determine the top qualifiers to contest the Matchplay Championship rounds. Ranking of players will be based on the best two rounds from the 4 qualifying rounds.

- Under 18 Member (male)
- Participants must be a current financial member as at the commencement of the Round 1 of the Qualifying Rounds.
- Participants are to be “Amateur Golfers” only as defined in the Rules of Golf.
Matchplay Championship Divisions
The Club Championships will be single Match Play conducted in four (4) Divisions:
Division 1 – Club Championship: Open
Handicap restriction – open
No of Qualifiers – 16 players
Matchplay Elimination all Rounds are 36 holes
Note – The top 16 players of all divisions who have returned the best two 18-hole gross scores out of the four qualifying rounds will qualify for the Club Championship Division 1. In the event a player from another division qualifies in the top 16 the competitor will have the choice to play in either Division 1 or remain in Division 2.
Division 2 – A Reserve Grade
Handicap restriction – 8 to 12 as at the commencement of the 1st Qualifying Round
No of Matchplay Qualifiers – 16 players
Matchplay Elimination Rounds 1 to 3 – 18 holes
Matchplay Elimination Final Round 4 – 36 holes
Division 3 – B Grade
Handicap restriction – 13 to 18 as at the commencement of the 1st Qualifying Round
No of Qualifiers – 16 players
Matchplay Elimination Rounds 1 to 3 – 18 holes
Matchplay Elimination Final Round 4 – 36 holes
Division 4 – C Grade
Handicap restriction – 19 to 32 as at the commencement of the 1st Qualifying Round
No of Qualifiers – 16 players
Matchplay Elimination Rounds 1 to 3 – 18 holes
Matchplay Elimination Final Round 4 – 36 holes
Handicaps
Handicaps for the Qualifying Rounds will be as at the commencement of the 1st Qualifying Round. Handicap restrictions for the various Divisions are determined by the players club handicap (Golf Australia handicap adjusted for the Duntryleague slope factor as of the first Qualifying Round).
No handicap is used for matchplay elimination matches.
Qualification for Matchplay
- Qualifiers will be seeded based on the lowest gross scores returned over the 72 hole qualifying rounds, based on the best two from the four rounds.
- Count-backs, if necessary, for each Championship Division will be based on the returned score of the last qualifying round selected.
- Qualifiers for the Championship and each division to be announced and a Final seeded draw published at 12 noon on the Wednesday immediately preceding the 1st Match Play round.
- A “Reserves list” will be determined for each division for those players who have returned the next lowest 36 holes qualifying score outside the top 16 qualifiers.
- If a seeded player(s) withdraws from the Championship in any division AFTER the final draw is published, the next available player(s) from the “Reserves list” is to be offered to play in the 1st round in the vacated position(s). Any Reserve listed player for each division can take up the vacated position up until 15 minutes prior to the 1st tee allocation on the day of the 1st elimination round.
- If all “Reserves list” players are unavailable and cannot take up that vacated position by the commencement of play, the seeded Qualifying player must present to the starter at the allocated tee time and thereafter be awarded a walk-over/forfeit of that Match and proceed to the next Match play round.
- It is the players responsibility to check their tee time after the draw is published. The draw will be posted on the Club noticeboard and be available at the pro-shop on the Wednesday prior to the 1st Match Play playoff round being conducted.
Championship Match Play Elimination Rounds:
- The Match-Play playoffs for all divisions will be conducted over 36 holes for Division 1 and 18 holes for Divisions 2, 3 & 4 as single Medal Match Play.
- The Final of each division is to be played over 36 holes.
In the event matches are squared after each of the stipulated Match-Play rounds additional holes will be played until the Match is won, commencing at hole 1. - If a winner cannot be determined after the Match extends to additional holes and it is impossible due to poor visibility or abnormal weather conditions or the course becoming unplayable the Match will be reconvened to commence from 8:00am on the next day from the next consecutive hole or position when the Match was suspended.
Tee times allocated for Championship:
- Tee times allocated by the Match Committee will be final for each Match. Players are to report to the starter and be ready to commence their Match at least 15 Minutes prior to the allocated tee time. Players MUST commence their Match at the allocated tee time.
- In the event the player has failed to commence the Match at the allocated tee time but arrives within 5 minutes after the allocated tee time, the penalty for not starting on time will be a loss of 1st hole. The players will then proceed to the 2nd hole and take up their position in the field.
- If a player is not able to commence within 15 minutes of the allocated time the Match will be lost and the offending player disqualified.
- Exceptional circumstances may apply if a player is delayed. The Match Committee Chair or a nominated representative agree the player has incurred an exceptional circumstance then no Penalty will apply and the Match to proceed as scheduled on the same date at a new allocated tee time as determined by the Match Committee Chair.
Play suspended:
- In the event whereby the any of the four Qualifying Rounds are unable to be completed or play is abandoned then Qualifying Rounds will be reduced to the best 2 from 4 and so on.
- If any Match is suspended due to adverse weather conditions, bad light and /or the course becoming unplayable without adequate time for play to be reconvened for the Match to be completed on that day, the Match is to recommence on a day set by the match committee.
- If several or all matches cannot be convened at this time or date, the Matches will be reconvened to be completed on the morning prior to play commencing for the next Play-off Match Play round.
Motorised carts:
Motorised carts can be used by players competing in all divisions.
Mobile phones:
Mobile phones must be turned off during the play of any Match. Under special circumstance a player may use the mobile phone for medical or emergency purposes only with the concurrence of the Match Committee Chair

Trophy Allocation:
Trophies will be awarded to the Finalists of the Club Championship and for each division.
MEN’S MONTHLY MEDAL
TO BE READ IN CONJUNCTION WITH LOCAL RULES AND THE RULES OF GOLF
The Men’s Monthly Medal is to be held on the first available Saturday of the month and is an 18-hole stroke round. This is run in conjunction with the Saturday competition of the day, handicaps and grades are as per normal club grade outlined in the club competition rules.
A scratch event for each grade is run on medal days which amateur golfers only are eligible to win.
The Monthly Medal Day Competition is played with one winner per division being the best net score from each division (Division 1, Division 2 & Division 3) of all eligible competitors. The event is played off the blue tees.
The three Monthly Medal division winners will be eligible to compete in the medal of medals event for that year.
Monthly Medal Grades:
Divisions for Monthly medal will be as per normal club Saturday events:
- Division 1 (A Grade): +plus – 12 handicap.
- Division 2 (B Grade): 13 -18 handicap.
- Division 3 (C Grade): 19 – 36 handicap.
Eligibility:
- Event is open to members in the following Membership Categories:
- Full Playing Member (male)
- Six Day Member (male)

- Participants must be a current financial member as at the commencement of the Round.
- Participants are to be “Amateur Golfers” only as defined in the Rules of Golf.
- Participants must have 8 legitimate rounds of golf played within the last 12 of golf.
- Participants must play from the blue tees.
Medal Rules:
- The Medal will be played over 18 holes on dates nominated by the Match Committee usually the 1st Saturday of each month.
- The Medal winners will be the lowest net score returned after the 18-hole duration for their respective division from the blue tees.
- In the event whereby tied scores are returned after 18 holes the monthly medal winner will be determined by countback.
- A minimum of 50 players is required for a monthly medal in the event that play is abandoned due to poor weather conditions, bad light and /or the course becomes unplayable without adequate time for play to be reconvened then the monthly medal will be replayed on the next available Saturday.
- Refer to OGC rules for competitions for various field sizes if less than 50 and less than 20 complete a round on days when play is abandoned.
Medal of Medals
Eligibility
Event is open to members in the following Membership Categories:
- Full Playing Member (male)
- Under 30 Member (male)
- Under 23 member (male)
- Under 18 Member (male)
- Participants must have 8 legitimate rounds played in the last 12-month period
Conditions
- The event participants will comprise of the Monthly Medal division winners from each month of the most recent completed full year calendar period. (36 competitors if all months played)
- The event will be conducted on the 1st Saturday of February in conjunction with the Monthly Medal for that month.
- The event will comprise a Medal Play format (stroke) with the best returned nett score from the participants to be awarded the winner of the Gold Medal.
- Participants will play from their current daily handicap as of the date of play of the Event.
- In the event of a tie an 18hole play-off will be scheduled for the next Monthly Medal with the lowest returned nett score to be awarded the winner. If a tie is again the result another play-off will be required for the next Monthly Medal and so on.
- In any play-off the participants handicap allocated for the initial event in February will be fixed.
- Motorised carts are permissible for use by the participants on the day of the event.
- No additional competition fee is required by participants for this event.
- A maximum handicap of 27 will be applied.
Dalton and Canobolas Cups
Eligibility
Event is open to members in the following Membership Categories:
- Full Playing Member (male)
- Under 30 Member (male)
- Under 23 member (male)
- Under 18 Member (male)
Conditions
- DALTON AND CANOBOLAS CUPS will comprise 18 holes Medal Play (stroke) qualifying round.
- The top (available) 16 qualifiers based on their returned nett score will proceed to the Matchplay Rounds.
- The “Even Numbered” qualifiers (Qualifiers #2,4,6,8) will qualify for the Dalton Cup.
- The “Odd Numbered” qualifiers (Qualifiers #1,3,5,7) will qualify for the Canobolas Cup.
- The Matchplay rounds will be Handicap Matchplay with each qualifier playing off their qualifying handicap for all rounds however the maximum handicap of 27 will apply for all elimination rounds.
- The Matchplay elimination rounds will be played over 18 holes on the dates and tee times as scheduled by the Golf Management Committee. The Final will be played over 36 holes.
- All matches are to commence from the 1st Tee and be played out to achieve a result.
- Motorised carts can be used for any elimination round and the final.
Men’s Foursomes Championship
Eligibility
Event is open to members in the following Membership Categories:
- Full Playing Member (male)
- Under 30 Member (male)
- Under 23 member (male)
- Under 18 Member (male)
Conditions
The event will be played over 27 holes comprising on the one day or nominated days and dates set by the Golf Management Committee (GMC). The event will be Medal Play (Stroke) in alternate shot format competed in
Two Divisions as follows:
Division 1 (A Grade): Teams having a combined handicap of no greater than 27.
Division 2 (B Grade): Teams having a combined handicap of 27.1 or more. Any Division 2 combination can not include any single figure handicap player.
Eligibility: The Men’s Foursomes Championships is a traditional gold leaf annual event, to be eligible to win entrants must be either 6day or 7day male member of Orange Golf Club.
Rules of Play:
- Play will be from the Members Blue Course.
- Rules of Golf apply as set down by the R&A. Local Rules as displayed on the scorecard or on any noticeboard of the Club will apply on the day of the event.
- Teams will nominate each round (Round 1 first 18 holes and Round 2 the last 9 holes) which team member is to tee off from the Odd numbered or Even numbered holes. Teams may change this order at the commencement of Round 2.
- In the event of any medal play the lowest tied scores returned after 27 holes a 3x hole play-off will be required comprising holes #10, #11 and #12. If accumulated scores for these 3x holes remain tied a sudden death play-off is to continue to hole#13 and so-forth to determine a winning team.
- The lowest returned medal play score for each Grade will be declared the winner for their respective Division. Runner-up winners will be determined using the countback system using the lowest returned score over the final round to determine the placegetter result.
- All handicap events will be determined on the lowest returned nett score for the event with the countback system applicable.
Trophy allocations:
- Championship winners for each Division over the 27 holes – Medal play.
- Championship Runners-up for each Division over 27 holes – Medal Play.
- Handicap winners for each Division over the 27 holes – Medal Play Nett
- Handicap Runners-up for each Division over the 27 holes – Medal Play Nett
- Participants are eligible to win no more than one event in either gross or nett handicap events in any Division.
Mens Fourball Championships
Eligibility
Event is open to members in the following Membership Categories:
- Full Playing Member (male)
- Under 30 Member (male)

Conditions
The Mens Fourball Championships will be conducted as a 4BBB Stroke Event played in two divisions over 36 holes (18 holes over two days) dates set by the Golf Management Committee (GMC)
The Two Divisions will be as follows:
Division 1 (A Grade): Teams having a combined handicap of no greater than 27.
Division 2 (B Grade): Teams having a combined handicap of 27.1 or more. Any Division 2 combination can not include any single figure handicap player.
Eligibility: The Men’s Fourball Championships is a traditional gold leaf annual event, to be eligible to win entrants must be either 6day or 7day member of Orange Golf Club.
THE LOWEST RETURNED SCRATCH SCORES WILL BE DECLARED THE CHAMPIONS OF THE EVENT FOR EACH DIVISION
ENTRY FEE TO BE PAID FOR BOTH DAYS WHEN NOMINATING.
Trophy allocations:
- Championship winners for each Division over the 36 holes – Medal play.
- Championship Runners-up for each Division over 36 holes – Medal Play.
- Handicap winners for each Division over the 36 holes – Medal Play Nett.
- Handicap Runners-up for each Division over the 36 holes – Medal Play Nett.
- Participants are eligible to win no more than one 36-hole event in either gross or nett handicap events in any Division.
- Daily events to be determined on field size and sponsor nominations as determined by the GMC and prises awarded irrespective of Championship Trophies.
TO BE READ IN CONJUNCTION WITH LOCAL RULES AND THE RULES OF GOLF
The Men’s Eclectic Competition is run in conjunction with the Saturday event from the Men’s blue markers. The event is to be conducted over several rounds with the dates set down by the Golf Management Committee (usually from first available Saturday of July through to the last Saturday in October).
Scoring:
The Eclectic score is the lowest score obtained on each hole over the duration of all eligible rounds. The total score (net) for the holes is subject to deduction of half the player’s handicap held on the first day of competition.
Prizes:
One prize per grade for scratch and net will be awarded.
Grades:
Grades for Monthly medal will be as per normal club grades apart from Division 3 (C grade) which a maximum handicap of 27 will be applied:
- Division 1 (A Grade): +plus – 12 handicap.
- Division 2 (B Grade): 13 -18 handicap.
- Division 3 (C Grade): 19 – 36 handicap.

DUNTRYLEAGUE WOMEN’S CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS
TO BE READ IN CONJUNCTION WITH LOCAL RULES AND THE RULES OF GOLF
Eligibility:
The event is open to members in the following Duntryleague membership categories;
• Full playing member (female)
• 6-day member (female)
• Regional member (female)
• Under 30 member (female)
• Under 23 member (female)
• Under 18 member (female)
Participants must be a current financial member of Duntryleague as at the commencement of Round 1.
Participants are to be “amateur golfers” only, as defined in the Rules of Golf.
Calendar:
Rounds are played both Tuesday and Thursday over two consecutive weeks. Four rounds in total.
Players Permitted:
A minimum of 30 players is required for a competition.
Players must nominate to play all 4 rounds by indicating in writing a YES or NO on their card, prior to submitting the first-round card. If no mark is on your card, the assumption is that you will not be playing in the four-round championships.
Nominations to play will not be accepted after the end of day round one.
Rules
72 hole Stroke play over 4 days.
In the event of adverse weather conditions, players must still present themselves at the clubhouse on the day of play and await the decision of the Match Committee.
The Match Committee reserves the right to change the day of play or delay the start after consultation with the greens superintendent or make changes to the conditions of play at any time if deemed necessary.
The Match Committee reserves the right to conduct the championship over 36 or 54 holes under extenuating circumstances.
Draw:
Rounds 1, 2 & 3 to be computer entries.
Final (4th) round to be reverse seeded in order of place in championship after round 3.
In final (4th) round, players to hit off 1st tee in the order, C grade, B grade, A grade.
The Match Committee will organise the final round draw. Players are unable to select who they play with in the final round.
All players will remain in their original (starting) grade & handicap throughout the championship.
Grades:
- A Grade: 0-22
- B Grade: 23-30
- C Grade: 31-45
Trophies
Scratch winners and runners up in all 3 grades.
Handicap winners and runners up in all 3 grades.
Scratch ties will require a playoff over three holes; 10, 11 & 12. If still tied, sudden death will apply.
Handicap ties will be decided on a count back.
One trophy per player except for the Matthew Robinson Trophy which is awarded to the player with the best total net score.
All perpetual trophies are to remain in the clubhouse after presentation.
Note
The winner of the Division 1 72 hole championship is eligible to play in further events such as the WDLGA champion of champions and the NSW championship playoff.

WOMEN’S MATCHPLAY CHAMPIONSHIPS

Championship Rules.
The women’s match play championship will be a single match play conducted in three divisions as follows;
- Division 1; +plus – 22 handicaps as at the commencement of the 1st qualifying round of the stroke championship.
- Division 2; 23 – 30 handicaps as at the commencement of the 1st qualifying round of the stroke championship.
- Division 3; 31 – 45 handicaps as at the commencement of the 1st qualifying round of the stroke championship.
The Qualifying Rounds.
- The women’s match play championship qualifiers will be calculated by the player’s best two rounds of the club 72 hole stroke championship.
- The match play championship will be calculated over the best two rounds throughout the stroke championships.
- The top 8 players who have returned the lowest gross score in their division over the qualifying rounds will qualify for the match play championships.
- Qualifiers for each division, in the case of a draw, will be determined on a count-back basis for each division based on the returned score of their last qualifying round. Qualifiers will be seeded based on the lowest scores returned over their 36-hole qualifying round including any count-backs to determine seeded positions for any division.
- Qualifiers for each division are to be announced and a final seeded draw published immediately preceding the 1st match play round.
- A “Reserves List” will be determined for each division for those players who have returned the next lowest 36 holes qualifying score outside the top 8 qualifiers.
- If a seeded player(s) withdraws from any division after the final draw is published, the next available player(s) from the “Reserves List” is to be offered to play in the 1st round in the vacated position(s). Any reserve listed player for each division can take up the vacated position up until 15 minutes prior to the 1st tee allocation on the day of the 1st elimination round.
- If all “Reserves List” players are unavailable and cannot take up that vacated position by the commencement of play, the seeded qualifying player must present to the starter at the allocated tee time and thereafter be awarded a walk-over/forfeit of that match and proceed to the next match play round.
- It is the players responsibility to check their tee time after the draw is published.
Championship Match Play Playoff Rounds.
- The match play playoffs for each division will be conducted over 18 holes.
- The final of division one is to be played over 36 holes as match play. For divisions two and three, over 18 holes.
- In the event matches are squared after each of the stipulated match play rounds, additional holes will be played until the match is won.
- If a winner cannot be determined after the match extends to additional holes and it is impossible due to poor visibility or abnormal weather conditions or the course becoming unplayable, the match will be reconvened to commence at a time convenient to players and match committee.
- Women players agree to play their elimination rounds at a time and date agreeable to all players within the time constraints determined by the match committee,
Tee Times Allocation for Championship
- Tee times allocated by the Match Committee will be final for each match. Players are to report to the starter and be ready to commence their match at least 15 minutes prior to the allocated tee time. Players must commence their match at the allocated tee time.
- In the event the player has failed to commence the match at the allocated tee time but arrives within 5 minutes after the allocated tee time, the penalty for not starting on time will be a loss of 1st hole. The players will then proceed to the 2nd hole and take up their position in the field.
- If a player is not able to commence within 15 minutes of the allocated time the match will be lost and the offending player disqualified.
- Exceptional circumstances may apply if a player is delayed. The Match Committee Chair or a nominated representative agree the player has incurred an exception circumstance then no penalty will apply and the match to proceed as scheduled at a tee time as determined by the Match Committee Chair.
- Should the 2nd qualifying round be unable to be completed or play is abandoned then the 1st qualifying round shall be used to determine the qualifiers in each division.
Play Suspended.
- If any match is suspended due to adverse weather conditions, bad light and/or the course becoming unplayable without adequate time for play to be reconvened for the match to be completed on that day, that match will be reconvened to be completed prior to the next match play round.
Motorised Carts.
- Motorised carts can be used by all players.
Mobile Phones.
- Mobile phones must be turned to silent during the play of any match, under special circumstance a player may use the mobile phone for medical or emergency purposes only with the concurrence of the Match Committee Chair.

WOMEN’S SENIOR CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS
TO BE READ IN CONJUNCTION WITH LOCAL RULES AND THE RULES OF GOLF
Eligibility
The event is open to members in the following Duntryleague membership categories;
• Full playing member (female) | • 6-day member (female) |
Participants must be a current financial member of Duntryleague as at the commencement of Round 1.
Participants are to be “amateur golfers” only, as defined in the Rules of Golf.
Players must be aged 70 before or on the day of the first round of the championships.
Calendar.
Rounds are played during the 72 hole championships as per the program.
Players Permitted.
Players must play at least 3 of 4 rounds.
Players must nominate that they intend to play in the championship by indicating Yes / No on the scorecard of their first round.
Rules
Stroke play over 72 holes.
One single grade.
A maximum handicap of 45 will be applied to any player with a handicap greater than 45.
The winner will be determined on the players best 3 net rounds over the championship.
In the event of adverse weather conditions, players must still present themselves at the clubhouse on the day of play and await the decision of the match committee.
The Match Committee reserves the right to change the day of play or delay the start after consultation with the greens superintendent of make changes to the conditions of play at any time if deemed necessary.
The Match Committee reserves the right to conduct the senior championship over 36 holes in extenuating circumstances.
Ties
Ties will be decided on a countback.
WOMEN’S FOURSOMES CHAMPIONSHIPS

Eligibility

Players Permitted.
A minimum of 30 players is required for a competition.
Rules
To be played over 27 holes.
All players start off 1st tee.
Handicaps
Half of the combined handicap for 18 holes and then 9 holes to apply.
Scoring
Winners and runners up in scratch and handicap.
Ties
Scratch ties will require a playoff over three holes; 10, 11 & 12. If still tied, sudden death will apply.
Players are not the leave the course/club prior to a result.
Handicap ties will be decided on a count back of the first 18 holes.
Trophies
One trophy per player. All perpetual trophies are to remain in the clubhouse after presentation.

Handicaps
Handicap at start of championship to apply throughout.
Rules
Both players must play in the qualifying round.
18 holes 4 ball stroke to be played on Tuesday to qualify.
All matches to be played over 18 holes, or continued to a result.
Elimination rounds to be played on a Thursday.
Final round to be played on a Thursday.
Scoring
First 16 pairs best scores to qualify.
Ties
Ties will be decided on a count back.
Special Considerations
In the case of a sudden illness of a player, bereavement in the family of player concerned, or extenuating circumstance, an alternative date may be decided upon by the Match Committee.
Match Committee reserves the right to make changes to the conditions of play to allow the competition to go ahead.
Trophies
Dorothy Collins Memorial Trophy awarded to top qualifying pair, on the day of qualifying. This trophy will be presented on the qualifying round day.
Top qualifying pair must be continuing on in the 4BBB match play championship.
4BBB Match Play Championship cup and trophies to be presented on the day of the final round.
All perpetual trophies are to remain in the clubhouse after presentation.
