Ladies Golf News – December

Wow how quickly the year has flown. A few more grey hairs and aches and pains but best of all lots of wonderful new memories and friendships.

Points of Interest

Medal of Medal: Winner was Bron Brazier with a net 69. Congratulation on a great year of golf.

Closing Day: We welcomed a lot of visitors to our club and put on great weather for the day. Thanks to the ladies who provided a wonderful afternoon tea. Division 1 was won by Susan Fenwick closely followed by Sandra Schultz. Great to see you back Sandra and just as handy around the golf course.

A big field of ladies lined up for the shot gun start before the AGM and award presentation. The committee for 2019 is:

President Dot Beasley
Vice President Pauline Jani
Captain Gay Stone
Vice President Maria Crawford
Secretary Val Durack
Treasurer Cheryl Bennett
Committee Kerry Kidd
Janice Pritchard
Erana Swain

We thank Beryl Pearce for her tireless work as Secretary for the past 4 years. Thank you Pat for your year as president.  Sadly we also will miss Dot Tandy on the committee for 2019. Best wishes to the new committee.

Some of the clever winners on the day and the new committee minus captain Gay Stone.

The Dedication Award for the month must go to the brave girls who played in the Matthew’s Cup against Bathurst. It was absolutely freezing but the Duntry girls had a 7/1 victory.

Christmas Cheer: A huge field of red and green played on the day and enjoyed some great socialising. Some great scores but none better than the winning team of Sandra Schultz, Michelle Paul, Margot Sullivan and Neridah McAndrew with 55 points. A great achievement considering they are all low handicappers. Thanks to Kevin and Elaine Cusack and Hattie Crossing for your generous donations.
