We has 130mm rainfall for January and used 5 megalitres of irrigation.

With the rainfall and high humidity over the past month, it has been a perfect time for disease to attack our greens. We have had a small outbreak of dollar spot [sclerotinia homoeocarpa]. We have contained it with our regular fungicide program, and keeping nitrogen levels low.

During February a major redesign and rebuild of our bunkers will start, with bunkers on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th holes. Bunkers will be dug out old drainage replaced, capillary concrete added and new premium bunker sand added. This process will take place over the coming years as more money is raised to complete all the bunkers to bring them into the 21st century.

Covid has hit the ground staff so please be patient with them as they endeavor to mow 100 acres each week on the course.

A big thank you to all the volunteers that help chip debris, trim branches, and look after gardens over the past year. Many hands make light work.
